He used his color¬ ful screen printing techniques to challenge a world of mass me¬ dia and exude a sense of pride. His ground-breaking images inspired the concept of our yearbook. In the same way that Andy used his art to illustrate his pride in himself, our student body's actions exude Red Devil Pride and drive our student body to do all that they do. You will continue to see this concept throughout the entire book, as you view the pop art images in our school colors I hope that you will begin to see some of the many students of the Lowell High School and what their pride in themselves and others has allowed them to accomplish. I hope that when you look back at this book many years from now, you can laugh as you relive all the memories and see the true value that pride holds in one's life. To the class of 2008,1 wish you all much luck in all of your endeavours. Regardless of what each and everyone of you decides to do with your lives. I'm sure you will be successful as long as you remember to always take pride in what you do. -Therese Kennelly (12) 3 Ltorsnote editornote editornote III fmmH I f ••'''•'’X'£WO] Hj| (i / | ^L\. tit jW/L |R j53 ot only do we we shine in academic and athletic areas, but we also excel in other random cat¬ egories. For example, many of us are well dressed dance go¬ ers and social butter¬ flies. Others of us are advanced ping pong players and poised junior miss contestants. When we're not gaining wisdom at school, leading the team to a state victory at the Dome, or winning an Academic Decathlon champion¬ ship, we're having fun and taking part in the random activities that we suc¬ ceed in. The way in which we spend our time outside of class reflects who we are as individuals and what is most important to us. Whether we are work¬ ing a part time job, chilling with friends, jamming with our band, or snapping photographs, we are spending our valu¬ able high school careers in ways that help shape us into the distinct adults we are rapidly becoming. To sum it up, we shouldn't just be feared for our ability to kick a game winning field goal in the fourth quarter or our capability to bal¬ ance a chemical equation. We should also be feared for our ability to clash our clothes on mismatch day and deafen our opponents with our school spirit at football games. We should be feared for our "SENIOR" shirt making ca¬ pabilities and Guitar Hero skills. We should be feared for our trendy fashions, knowledge of pop culture, and excellent taste in music. We should be feared for our artistic talents, money making skills, and extreme hair styles. We are a smart, vibrant, and creative generation that is preparing to make an impact in this world. Fear us because we are unique and talented. Fear us because we are strong and confident. Fear us because we have something to offer to the world. Fear our student body. Fear us. -Kathleen Parilac (12) studentlife stu&entlife Below: Annie Vassar (12), Abby Hoffman(12), Jessi Denhar- tag (12), and Allyson Conley dressed in & Right?
