Living With Fire This program provides suggestions to homeowners living in Nevada’s Pinyon-Juniper Woodland that will improve their safety and the survivability of their homes during wildfire. The sponsors of this program assume that sooner or later homes located within the Pinyon-Juniper Woodland will be threatened by wildfire. It is not a question of “if,” but “when” this will occur. Fortunately, a number of things can be done before a wildfire occurs that improve the likelihood of home survival. Homes surrounded by the Pinyon-Juniper Woodland are at great risk to burn.
