Do you live in the vastness of the spiritual world God created or do you live as a captive, trapped in a box of your own ignorance? Learn how to become an “out of the box” believer. We begin by expanding our foundation in God and breaking free from the traps that become the walls of our box. The Box The kingdom of God is a spiritual universe. Within the spiritual universe is a parallel material universe composed of matter, energy, space and time. We could consider physical creation as a type of parallel universe that contains its own reality, systems, and worldview apart from God. Those individuals who live inside “the box” can either deny the reality of God or transcend illusion by connecting with spiritual reality. • Unbelievers live in the box of the material world. • They are held captive by the world, the flesh, and the devil. • God is outside the “box” of His creation and has dominion over it. • When we are born again, we encounter the higher realm of the Spirit. In His mission statement, Jesus tells us He came to set the captives free. To set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord (Luke 4:18-19). He concluded His announcement by proclaiming the “acceptable year of the Lord.” This was a reference to the year of Jubilee. During the year of Jubilee all Israelites who had sold themselves into slavery were set free, and all land that had been sold reverted to its original owners.
