Dear The Nuclear Regulatory Commission, The New York State House, The New York State Senate, and Governor Andrew Cuomo, We are pleased to present you with this petition affirming this statement: "We, residents of the Hudson Valley and the metropolitan New York and New Jersey areas, are demanding that the licensing renewals for the Indian Point nuclear power plant for 2013 and 2015 be denied, and that the plant is closed down as soon as possible. Studies have shown that with upgrades in the New York State power grid, with energy efficiency and conservation measures, and investment in renewable sources, Indian Point's capacity can be replaced with minimal cost to consumers." Attached is a list of individuals who have added their names to this petition, as well as additional comments written by the petition signers themselves. Sincerely, Renee & Jordan kalfus 1 Carole Rosenberg Scarsdale, NY 10583 Jul 10, 2013 Jerome Wagner Wayne, NJ 07470 Jun 29, 2013 Marie Carline Cadichon-McKoy Pearl River, NY 10965 Jun 28, 2013 Those that make these decisions to keep Indian Point OPEN,don't live near it.
