The Life Management Skills PASS (Parallel Alternative Strategies for Students) teacher's guide presents 10 units concerned with various life management skills including three units dealing with sexual material which are not presented in the student workbook. Most units include a "Ready" activity to use as a pre-test and preview, "Remember" vocabulary words, and "Record," "Review," "Replay," and "Reflect" activities to encourage practice, thinking, and discussion. Also provided in the teacher's guide are unit objectives, suggestions for teaching, quizzes, and answer keys. Units included in the guide and workbook are: (1) "Connections: Living Well with "Self-Esteem: Caring for Yourself"; (2) "Nutrition: Food for Life"; "Stress: Finding the Balance"; Others"; (4) (3) "First Aid: Emergency Care"; "Drugs: Uses and Misuses"; (7) (6) (5) "Puberty: Maturing into Adulthood"; "Consumerism: Using Money Wisely"; (8) (9) The Reproductive System: Producing Life"; and (10) "Sexually Transmitted Diseases".
