Wednesday, February 10, 1960 The Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana, F. & A. M. assembled in Emergent Communication in the Pearl River Junior High School, Pearl River, La., for the purpose of constituting and installing the officers of A. U. Barnes Turner Grand Organist The Grand Marshal made the official announcement that the Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana had granted to the brethren of A. U. Peterson Lodge U. D. and Pearl Lodge U. D. charters as A. U. Peterson 455 in the town of Folsom, St. Tammany Parish, La., and Pearl 456 in the town of Pearl River, St. Tammany Parish, La., and these brethren were ready to have their Lodges consecrated, dedi- cated and constituted in due and ancient form. The Grand Marshal was instructed to assemble the brethren of A. U. Peterson 455 and Pearl 456 in a line West of the Altar, facing the East. Peter Laguens, Jr., P.G.M. of the Grand Council, R. & S. M. and the actual presentation will occur later when the flag with 50 stars is available. The announcement was made on behalf of M.I. The Grand Master announced that the jurisdiction of this Lodge shall be the same as the other Lodges in Shreveport. An American flag was presented to the Lodge by the Grand Council of Louisiana, R. &. S. M., through their Grand Master, Alex L. Stephens. The flag was escorted into the Lodge by several Knights Templar of Shreveport under the command of Herbert Jennings, Deputy Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of La.
