The Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana, F. & A. M. assembled
in Emergent Communication in the Pearl River Junior High School,
Pearl River, La., for the purpose of constituting and installing the
officers of A. U. Peterson Lodge 455 and Pearl Lodge 456.
The Grand Lodge was opened in due and ancient form with the
following brethren:

The Grand Marshal made the official announcement that the
Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana had granted to the brethren
of A. U. Peterson Lodge U. D. and Pearl Lodge U. D. charters as
A. U. Peterson 455 in the town of Folsom, St. Tammany Parish, La.,
and Pearl 456 in the town of Pearl River, St. Tammany Parish, La.,
and these brethren were ready to have their Lodges consecrated, dedi-
cated and constituted in due and ancient form.
The Grand Marshal was instructed to assemble the brethren of
A. U. Peterson 455 and Pearl 456 in a line West of the Altar, facing
the East.
The Grand Secretary then called the roll of the following charter

in due and ancient form to constitute these brethren into two (2)
regular and distinct Lodges according to the ceremonies in the Louisi-
ana Monitor, promulgated by the Grand Lodge of the State of
Louisiana.
After the consecrating ceremonies were completed, the Grand
Master called for an election of officers for A. U. Peterson 455 which
resulted as follows:

A delegation of Officers and Members of Quitman Lodge No.
76 of New Orleans through their Worshipful Master Clayton Kruse,
presented W: Brother Harold C. Dunaway with a beautiful gavel.
Announcement was made that it was customary for the Grand
Council of Royal & Select Masons of Louisiana to present to each
newly chartered blue Lodge an American Flag, the same is presented
symbolically at this time, by D. Peter Laguens, Jr., P.G.M. of the
Grand Council, R. & S. M. and the actual presentation will occur
later when the flag with 50 stars is available.
The announcement was made on behalf of M.I. Grand Master,
Alex L. Stephens, of the Grand Council, R. & S.M. of La.
The Grand Lodge was then closed in a summary manner by the
Acting Grand Master.

Brother Frank Brown, Grand Master.
The Grand Master announced that the jurisdiction of this Lodge
shall be the same as the other Lodges in Shreveport.
An American flag was presented to the Lodge by the Grand
Council of Louisiana, R. &. S. M., through their Grand Master, Alex
L. Stephens. The flag was escorted into the Lodge by several Knights
Templar of Shreveport under the command of Herbert Jennings,
Deputy Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Knights
Templar of La.
The Grand Lodge was then closed in due and ancient form by
the Grand Master.

The Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana, F. & A. M., met in
Emergent Communication on the above date, in the Hall of Hurd
Merrill Lodge No. 454 for the purpose of dedicating their Lodge Hall.
The Grand Lodge was opened in due and ancient form at 2:30
P. M. with the following brethren:
