Someofus rememberthe passionwithwhich hetaught English in eighth grade Connections; others remember the communal atmosphere he created for the students in hissenioryear Humanitiesclass,and even morerememberjustseeing hisface inthe bleachers, cheeringenthusiasticallyfora Latinvictory.Thecapacity which you know Mr. Aversa is not the most important aspect ofthis dedication, althoughyouwouldbeblessedtoknowhimwell.Whatisimportantisthefactthat hetreats studentswith respectand empathy, and in return gainstheireverlasting admirationand gratitude.
