They live in the shadows, Jack and Jill, a pair of always feuding Identical twins who can never ever stop running.
From their earliest memory they’ve been taught to hide, to hunt, to survive in all possible environments and situations.
Their prowess is only outdone by their coldly aloof Instructor Clare, who was always there from their youngest days, and is first and foremost their educator, disciplinarian, mentor and trainer - not their parent.
She trained them thoroughly and remorselessly and without any sign of pity or mercy being allowed to reveal itself at what they were instructed by Clare to carry out on command without hesitation or error, her punishments at any sign of humanity or weakness from either of them always saw them both being punished severely together. Clare trained them both from their youngest memories to undertake all of the most deadly forms of the so called 'Black Arts' by having them practice on one another while she looked on with stony indifference to any of the pleas they made for the other to halt.
It had all started with harmless childlike games like seeing who could hold their breath the longest while being tickled, but by their teenage years things were much much more serious.
By 16 they were both extremely strong and had learned how to resist all forms of torture and interrogation; how to carry out espionage by stealth without detection; how to kill with different forms of weaponry and how to use seemingly innocent items in much darker ways; how to kill in complete silence and without any trace being left behind; how to kill using unusual methods like specialist diving equipment like rebreathers or by cutting a line here or twisting a valve there to ensure that the death is ruled accidental or the blame is placed elsewhere; exposing and using peoples weaknesses to obtain what is desired through blackmail or by other methods; underwater, airborne and surface surveillance methods using ROVs or 'human assets'; how to steal and ride, drive, fly, or use any form of transport to tail or evade capture; to know how to use sex as a weapon and to not to be sexually timid and to be able to handle same sex approaches as easily as as other forms; acts of sabotage using everything from explosives to a coin and which pressure points could be used where to incapacitate someone upto and including paralysis without leaving any kind of mark or injury to show what was done.
Perhaps the most destructive of all the 'games' and training that they both went through and learned about from the age of 14, was often also used as a much dreaded form of punishment for any kind of failure or weakness that either of them may have shown during their sessions. These sessions involved the long duration use of much more specialised interrogation equipment of an even more nerve-wracking and psychologically destructive form. Sometimes it would be used on themselves by Clare, other times they would take turns to use it on each other, and towards the end unknown visitors started to arrive who took part in these games and arrived only to disappear after the twins reduced them to sobbing wrecks willing to do anything to stop the pain that by this point Jack & Jill both had grown to enjoy subjecting them to. The methods involved the use of some of the latest mind altering drugs and gas being mixed with Virtual Reality simulations until it was impossible to tell real from fake along with interminable sessions inside the sensory deprevation rooms.
As both twins approached their 18th birthday they grew to question Clare's motives, and her single minded obsession and methods, until finally they began to doubt her overall sanity and after many months of planning escaped from her grasp.
Now both Jack and Jill are twenty-six years old, and while still close as they ever were, they are now residing at separate addresses while trying their best at being able to lead more normal lives - putting Clare and their 'wacky' childhood out of their minds as much as they both can.
Everything changes when they learn of the destruction of the house they were trained in and that Clare is now nowhere to be found.
Slowly the twins are dragged back into a life they both prefer to forget, as they come to the horrifyingly unthinkable realisation, that perhaps Clare wasn't as delusional or wrong as they came to believe that she was after all. That her endless warnings and fears for their wellbeing were in fact not built not on a substantial lie, but upon a destructive truth.
The twins decide that they owe it to Clare to find out what's really going on, and if by some miracle she survived the blast that atomised their former home, to locate her, and if necessary rescue her from whoever has now detained her - regardless of their location or identity.
To be able to locate Clare they will both need to put aside their personal antipathy for one another, if their to survive the challenges that lie ahead, and they’ll need to have to draw on their every learned skill along with their combined wits and strength which Clare trained them to use so unfeelingly during their shared past together.
The trail that they now willingly follow takes them on a twisted journey that will involve revelations about both Clare and the twins, it will involve former and active members of the CIA and KGB and end with the revelation of an even more dangerous foe than both security services combined at their worst could ever be. An underground network of global assassins where the pair of unknowing hunters soon become the unaware prey after they learn of the twins unexpected existence.
Everyone, it seems, now wants to see Jack and Jill dead at any cost — and, for one of the twins, it’s a threat that’s frighteningly familiar and is going to come dangerously close to their new home and the life they created within it . . .

'THE INFORMATIONIST', the first in the Vanessa 'Michael' Munroe androgynous book series has recently been optioned by the renowned cinema production company 'Lightstorm Entertainment', with James Cameron personally interested in taking on the still in development productions script himself after the completion of the currently filming Avatar sequels.
The Author came to writing fiction much later in life then is the usual.
She was born and lived for many years within the communal apocalyptic cult 'Children Of God', separated from her natural family at the age of twelve, she was denied any kind of education beyond sixth grade. She lived on three continents and in over a dozen different countries before she had even turned fourteen. In place of 'normal' education or schooling, the majority of her adolescence was spent begging on city streets at the behest of cult leaders, or as a 'worker bee child' who was expected to care for the many younger children living within the commune. Other expected tasks she was expected to do without complaint included washing laundry, and cooking meals for hundreds of people at a time. During her twenties after becoming steadily more rebellious and defiant despite the inhumane punishments given out for her doing so, the Author against all odds and unlike many others including her family members broke free of her years of indoctrination and escaped from the commune she was being held in with nothing but the clothes on her back. She did so to escape the stifling hopeless uneducated existence she was trapped in, with only the vaguest idea of what lay outside the commune or the possibilities that lay available to her beyond its smothering inescapable grip. She has never regretted taking that first step, even at the expense of any further Family contact because of taking it.
In addition to writing her well received and respected novels, the Author often shares extensively about the mechanics of storytelling, writing, overcoming adversity, and the details of her journey into publishing through email, podcast, and video tutorials all of which are freely available to those interested parties.
