LEXICOGRAPHICA contains the following headings: Articles, Discussion, Reviews, Reports on
Conferences, Books and Offprints on Lexicography as well as an Index of Names and a Continuous
Bibliography of journal articles on lexicography.
A number of articles in each volume will deal with a central topic, but the individual volumes will
not be restricted to that topic alone.
The editors will invite authors to contribute thematic articles. For the other sections of the An-
nual, typescripts and suggestions should be sent to the editors or to the Coordinating editor.
LEXICOGRAPHICA is intended as an international forum on all aspects of the theory and prac-
tice of lexicography. All interested scholars are cordially invited to contribute, by making suggestions
on the layout and character or on the contents of LEXICOGRAPHICA or by drawing attention to
works they think should be reviewed. Please include full bibliographical details to ensure that there
are no problems in securing review copies.
Contributions will be published in German, English and French. Each article is preceded by an
abstract in English. Black-and-white illustrations are possible. Prior agreement is required for illus-
trations in colour.
Notes on the layout of typescripts are available in English, French and German from the Coor-
dinating Editor.
First proofs will be sent to each author for correction. They should be returned to the Coordinating
Editor.
LEXICOGRAPHICA is published annually and comprises 320 pages.
The authors of articles and contributions to the section Discussion receive 10 offprints of their
contributions free of charge, the authors of reviews and short reviews receive 10 offprints of their
contributions free of charge. If more than one author have made a joint contribution, they will get
alltogether 10 respectively 10 offprints free of charge.
Typescripts should be sent to one of the editors or to the Coordinating Editor (addresses see above).
No responsibility will be taken for unsolicited typescripts.

Für den thematischen Teil ist der Titel „Aspekte der Wörterbuchform“ gewählt worden.
Obwohl zwischen Fragen der Wörterbuchform und solchen des Wörterbuchgegenstands
deutlich zu unterscheiden ist, wird im Rahmen der metalexikographischen Konzeption nach
Herbert Ernst Wiegand nicht verkannt, dass Strukturen nicht unabhängig von jeweiligen
Gegenständen thematischer Art untersucht werden können. Dies lassen auch verschiedene
der vorliegenden Beiträge erkennen, in denen Zusammenhänge zwischen Wörterbuchform
und jeweiligen Wörterbuchgegenständen im Zentrum der Aufmerksamkeit stehen.
Der thematische Teil des vorliegenden Bandes ist Herbert Ernst Wiegand zum 70.
Geburtstag gewidmet. Ich danke den Kolleginnen und Kollegen dafür, dass Sie meiner
Einladung gefolgt sind und ihre Beiträge pünktlich sowie in sehr guter Form eingereicht
haben. Die thematischen Vorgaben waren bewusst nicht sehr eng gefasst, sodass Spielraum
für individuelle Schwerpunktsetzungen blieb.
Dominik Brückner geht in seinem Beitrag auf die Rolle von Sprachwissen im histori-
schen Bedeutungswörterbuch ein. Er erläutert insbesondere im Hinblick auf Angaben zur
Etymologie und Wortgeschichte Problembereiche des Einbezugs abweichenden histori-
schen Wissens (spekulatives Wissen und Volksetymologien). In differenzierten Fragen und
Antworten zeigt Dominik Brückner die lexikographische Relevanz dieser bislang nicht
ausführlich methodisch fundierten Problematik auf.
Rufus H. Gouws diskutiert das Problem der lexikographischen Präsentation kultureller
formelhafter Ausdrücke in mono- und bilingualen Wörterbüchern für Benutzer in multilin-
gualer und multikultureller Umgebung. Er plädiert für einen transtextuellen Zugriff, den er
anhand von Beispielen aus verschiedenen Wörterbüchern illustriert. Zu den metalexikogra-
phischen Vorschlägen, die Rufus H. Gouws zum geeigneten Einschluss kultureller for-
melhafter Ausdrücke in Wörterbücher macht, zählt unter anderem der Rückgriff auf semi-
integrierte Mikrostrukturen nach Herbert Ernst Wiegand.
