Shoals Rodrigues: Pointe Monier, Rodrigues. 29 pp. Introduction From 2002 to 2006 samples of fish commonly caught in the Rodrigues lagoonal seine-net fishery were both weighed and measured to establish length-weight relationships. Fish were weighed to the nearest 0.1 g where possible and total length (horizontal distance from tip of snout to rearmost fin rays of the spread caudal fin) was measured on a measuring board to the nearest 0.1 cm. For 15 species that had more than 15 individuals measured in this way, weight-length relationships were calculated according to: W aLb where W is weight (g) and L is length (cm). Sample sizes ranged from 17 to 519. For one species, the Bluespot mullet (Moolgarda seheli), the relationship had a relatively poor fit and should be treated with caution. The data utilised to construct the weight-length relationships are summarised in Table 1. Table 1.
