To provide the necessary atmosphere in which teaching and learning can occur, the college expects thatthe conduct ofallcampuscitizenswillconformtoacceptedstandards.Thecollegehastherighttorequire the withdrawal ofany student whose actions are inimicaltothe purposes ofthe institution. Degrees Baccalaureate Degrees Lebanon Valley College confers five baccalaureate degrees. Associate Degrees Through the Continuing Education Office part-time students may earn the Associate of Sciencedegreeinaccounting,generalstudiesormanagement,ortheAssociateofArtsdegree ingeneral studies. Privacy ofStudent Records The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 is a federal law which provides studentstherighttoreviewtheiracademicrecords,therighttochallengethecontentsoftheir records, and the right to confidentiality oftheirrecords. The Buckley Amendment allows the disclosure ofbasic directory data and. in the case of athletes, extends that information to relevant personal data and accomplishments. The College Relations Office uses permissible information from students" records to report on social and academic accomplishments. ^ Annually, LebanonValleyCollegeinforms studentsoftheFamilyEducational Rights and PrivacyActof1974,asamended.ThisAct,withwhichtheinstitutionintendstocomplyfully, "^ ^ wasdesignatedtoprotecttheprivacyofeducationrecords,toestablishtherightofstudents ^ toinspectandreviewtheireducationrecords,andtoprovideguidelinesforthecorrectionof inaccurateormisleadingdatathroughinformalandformalhearings.
