Among his recent publications are Joint Ventures in Yugoslav Industry and articles on Yugoslav-Albanian relations and on foreign investment in Yugoslavia. J, F. Brown was Director of Radio Free Europe, Munich, from 1978 to 1983. Among his many publications on East European politics are The New Eastern Europe and Bulgaria under Communist Rule. He is currently engaged on a history of Eastern Europe since 1968. Stephen Carter is Senior Lecturer in Russian Government at the City of London Polytechnic. He is the author of The Politics of Solzhenit syn and has a special interest in politics and literature and compara tive communism. Peter Ferdinand is Lecturer in Politics at the University of Warwick and has published articles on the Chinese and Yugoslav Communist Parties. Peter Frank is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Government at the University of Essex. He is the joint author of The Soviet Com munist Party and has published many articles on communist politics. Martin McCauley is Lecturer in Russian and Soviet Institutions at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, University of Lon don. Among his publications are Marxism-Leninism in the German Democratic Republic: The Socialist Unity Party (SED) and The German Democratic Republic since 1945. Dennison Rusinow is a member of the Universities Field Staff Inter national, Vienna. He is the author of Polish Communism in Crisis and of numerous articles on Polish history and postwar politics.
