Wealsodecidedthatcorporategovernance,anotherofoursharedresearch interests,providedanexcellentfocalpointthroughwhichtoexaminethis topic,forreasonsthatweexplainintheintroduction.Wecalledthesemi- nar“LawandCapitalism:AComparativeApproach,”andwehavetaught ittwiceatColumbiaLawSchool.Thisbookisadirectoutgrowthofthose seminars. Draftsofmanychapterswerepresentedatconferencesandworkshops around the world.
