Description:This “Pocket Polish Dictionary” is a revised and enlarged version of the “Concise English-Polish and Polish-English Dictionary”, first published 1958. The dictionary is meant to be used in all walks of life and at school. In its two parts it contains more than 50,000 vocabulary entries and phrases. In addition to the vocabulary this dictionary contains a list of irregular English verbs and lists of geographical names, proper names, famous names and well-known characters in literature, abbreviations, weights and measures (American and British). In order to help the learner to use a word in a sentence particular attention has been drawn to syntactic information within the entry in the dictionary.
