Description:Kierkegaard’s edifying discourses are an often neglected part of his work. The author of the present study successfully demonstrates that they can be used as a significant source for understanding Kierkegaard’s Christianity. A series of interpretations of the best-known edifying discourses develop his deictic theology, which among other things make love of one’s neighbour a central theme and sees it rooted in the notion of a Trinitarian God.
