From the Editor
The production of this yearbook is a case in
which the original editor abandoned ship
before it reached shore.
When I began work on it in the fall of 2008,
many pages had already been printed and the
theme had been established by the previous
editor. I had to fill the holes that were left.
That job wasn't easy because the graduates to
whom this yearbook is dedicated had already
entered the "real" world and had not left
much material to do that. Fortunately, skills
that 1 gained while working in the college
pubUcations office helped me to deal with
that issue and with the tight schedule.
Many of these pages are filled with scenic
photos of Hampden-Sydney College and
its beautiful surroundings. I hope this
Kaleidoscope will bring back good memories
of some of the best years of your lives. Enjoy!
