Events at the meeting included the awarding of eight college scholarships and the installation of a new slate of officers for 2014-15. Outgoing Presi- dent Mike Swales recapped the events of the year and Treasurer Gene Sharp gave an overview of the chapter’s finances. Officers installed included: Ashley Gerlach, president; Carl Warne, vice-president; Brent Spra- dling, secretary; Gene Sharp, treasurer and Tim Strobel and executive director. As usual, the chapter awarded the Del Roskam award at the May meeting. This award is named for one of the founders of the chapter (then called Purchasing Managers Association or PMA) and first chapter President Del Roskam. This year’s recipient was Jonathan Hummer. The 18-year-old firm, founded by Jon Haas, PE, specializes in the fabrication of structural and mis- cellaneous steel for the construc- tion industry.
