The Return of Sunday Parkland Games
Join the Charles River Conservancy as they kick off their
7th season of Sunday Parkland Games on June 28th
Sunday Parkland Games are held every summer Sunday
from 3:30-6:30 pm on the Cambridge-side river parklands
between the Weeks Footbridge and JFK Street.
The Conservancy strives to provide recreational and play
activities where community members can enjoy the river
and the parklands in healthy, active, and innovative ways.
CRC partners with Knucklebones, a local athletic and
events company, to implement the program. They provide
equipment and instruction for a variety of games — from
bocce to beanbag toss, from basketball to badminton. There
are hula-hoops and jump ropes and from 5:00-6:00 pm, Cam-
bridge-based Karma Yoga Studio conducts a one-hour yoga
class. The game equipment is sized for children as young
as three up to adults.
CRC’s Sunday Parkland Games actively engage commu-
nity members of all ages to enjoy the Charles River and
the parklands. All activities are free of charge and o not
require registration – all are welcome to participate.
