G-protein @ subunit immunoreactivity is much less abundant in cell bodies, located using a stain for cell nuclei (purple Hoechst fluorescence) . A lobster G-protein G-subunit that is abundantly expressed in neural tissues has been cloned and is likely to account for most of the immunostaining observed in the brain and olfactory organ.
