REVIEWERS FOR JOURNAL OF GREAT LAKES RESEARCH, 1997 Most scientists understand the important role that peer review plays in making the scientific literature the valuable resource that it is. The Journal of Great Lakes Research is a peer reviewed publication and thus re- quests peer review by many different individuals during the course of a year. These reviewers are generally unsung, always unrewarded, and sometimes anonymous. The following people have served as peer reviewers for one or more manuscripts that completed peer re- view during the time period covered by volume 23 of the Journal. On behalf of the IAGLR Board and its Publications Committee, I wish to thank all of them for their unselfish and timely contribution to the ad- vancement of the science of large lakes.
