I SBASKETBMinI ipJos Faculty pg. 5 Seniors pg. 12 2016 Joseph Case High School t' *■i 1 Letter From the Editors It has been another wonderful year working with the yearbook staff. Everyone consistently put in their all towards making this year’s yearbook. Of course, we couldn’t have done it without Mr. Coulombe and Jostens. Without their help and guidance, nothing would’ve been accomplished. Thank you for making all of this happen! As usual, it takes a great amount of time and effort to create the yearbook, but everyone handled it pretty well. Being in yearbook takes dedication, effort, and willingness, and it's easy to say each staff member had those qualities and held onto them throughout the whole year. To be part of the yearbook staff is to be part of a second family. Amidst of all the work, there are fun times, jokes and laughter. This year especially, there were a bunch of new faces, however it wasn't long until a stranger became a friend. Through the hard work put in by everyone it seemed as if we had all been part of the yearbook staff since freshman year. We truly couldn't have asked for a better, well-connected yearbook staff. Thank you to each and every member. Finally, we would like to give a big thanks to Chestnut Hill Studios for taking wonderful pictures for our yearbook, the students and faculty for letting us come into their classrooms and capture the perfect moments, and all of the businesses for supporting us. As for the future yearbook staff, we hope you make the best of it. Don't be scared to put your ideas out there, and good luck! And lastly, to the graduating class of 2016, never lose track of yourself and work hard to get where you want to go. It’s been great, seniors! 2 I Yearbook Dedication On behalf of the Class of 2016 we would like to dedicate this year's yearbook to Mr. Thomas Marcello. Mr. Marcello first got involved with the drama department during his time as a student at East Providence High School. He helped the music department with their musicals freshman year, and he played a major role in The Man Who Came to Dinner during his senior year. After graduating high school, Mr. Marcello taught in Warren for four years and became an actor, director, and stage manager at Trinity Rep. In 1976, Mr. Marcello made the decision to work at Joseph Case High School after he realized that being involved with professional theatre was keeping him from spending time with his young children. Mr. Marcello's teaching years at Case have been full of memorable moments. Mr. Marcello has seen many students in his class, including some of our teachers and even our own principal, Mr. McCann. He has fond memories of working with wonderful students and participating in drama comps. Some of his best memories include having Romeo and Juliet being aired on Bravo TV in January of 1990 and having the drama department being invited to participate in the Shakespeare parade in England in 1989. And, of course, Mr. Marcello remembers Ereshman Mr. McCann answering him back at rehearsal in 1977. He truly loves all of his students. Sadly, after 40 long years of working at Case, Mr. Marcello is retiring from teaching. However, Mr. Marcello will always be remembered and appreciated by the students and faculty at Case. Eor the current drama department and for future drama students, Mr. Marcello would like to leave them with his common saying: "Do what is necessary, then what is possible, and, suddenly, you're doing the impossible." tiers from the A ;Totlie Cla.ssof2016. yngratulate eac h and every one of you on your graduation from Joseph Ca.se High ScfadiOl.
