We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2013
Our first show of the season will be the AAHABC May 9 – 12th Double Region 17 Qualifer Classic
Competition. It will be held at Thunderbird Show Park. Get all your qualifications at this Show as there
will not be a pre-show attached to the 2013 Regional Show. Watch for the Classic Prize List to be
posted on our website on or before February 1. The Region 17 Championship Show will be held July
23-27th, at Thunderbird Show Park in Langley, BC and their Prize List will be on the Region 17 website
early in the new year. The last time we held this event in Langley, BC, many exhibitors from the US
attended and we are hoping they will come back and visit us again in July, 2013. It is terrific to have
this Regional Show back in BC. Mark your calendars to attend both the AAHABC Classic and the
Regional Show.
We will also hold our Annual Fall Frolic Show
September 13-15th at TBird.
The AAHABC Annual Awards Banquet will be held at the Rondezvous Restaurant in Abbotsford BC
on January 26, 2013. There will be a Greek Buffet, Silent Auction, Live Auction and Games. Look for
the advertisement in this issue and book your tickets. We will be awarding a Champion and Reserve
Champion and naming the Top 5 in just under 40 categories as well as presenting our perpetual
trophies in 8 categories. Book your tickets early.
AAHABC has 16 members on the Board of Directors and they work throughout the year to organize
the AAHABC competitions and banquet as well as enthusiastically give their time and energy to
volunteer and make our events successful. At this time, I would like to thank Louise Gray, Debbie
Passey, Lisa Haney, and Deidra Morrison for their help in the past and welcome Dolores Roberts, Tony
Alves and Arron Oberman as new Directors. We have approximately 160 adult and youth members
at this time. We thank our AAHABC families for their continuing support and dedication to equestrian
excellence and our trainer members who consistently support our competitions through attending
our events. A big THANKYOU to our members who provide sponsorships for classes at our shows. We
need and appreciate your generous support.
