Translator’s Foreword
In your hands is a very beneficial booklet in

the form of questions and answers, compiled

to clarify the correct belief regarding Jesus, the

son of Mary (peace be upon him), to the chil­

dren living in the Western societies amongst the

Christians. These easy and basic questions and

answers are intended to establish sound princi­

ples within our children regarding this matter,

with the will of Allah. This is also compiled in a

manner which will invite Christians to the correct

belief about this noble prophet and messenger,

Jesus.
The author and compiler of the booklet, Salah

‘Abdul-Wahhab Amin, is from the students of

knowledge in Egypt, recommended and praised

Who is Jesus?

He is a human being from the creation of Allah,

but Allah chose him to be a prophet and deliver

a message like all ofthe other prophets and mes­

sengers.

What is his name?

His name is Jesus, son of Mary, [who is] the

daughter of ‘Imran, who is from the offspring of

the prophet David.

How did his birth happen?

The birth of Jesus was a great miracle and a

sign for everyone. He was born in a completely

different way from the rest of the people. All

people were born from a father and a mother,

but Jesus was born from a mother only, without

a father. Allah sent the angel Jibril to Mary and

he breathed the life of Jesus into her by the

command of Allah, and Allah said, “Be,” and he

was, so Marybecame pregnant with Jesus.

Why was he not born with a father like the rest of

the people?

[This was] so it could be a miraculous thing to

the people, and a sign proving the ability ofAllah

to create what and how He wants. So He created

Adam without a mother or a father, He created

Eve from the rib ofAdam without a mother, and

He created Jesus without a father.

No! Allah has no wife or children.

Is Jesus the son ofMary a human being?

Yes, Jesus is a human being and a creation of

Allah. Allah created him just as He created the

rest ofthe creation, but He onlymade his creation

[ofJesus] different from the rest ofthe people for

a great purpose, which I mentioned previously.
