Marshall Breger is professor of law at the Columbus School of Law, the Catholic University of America. From 1999—2001 he was an adjunct fellow for the Center for Strategic and International Studies and is presently a reg­ ular contributor to Moment magazine. He serves as vice president of the Jew­ ish Policy Center, a public policy think tank in Washington, D.C. During the Bush administration, he served as Solicitor of Labor, the chief lawyer of the Labor Department. From 1985 to 1991, Breger was chairman of the Administrative Conference of the United States. From 1983 to 1985, he was a special assistant to President Reagan and his liaison with the Jewish com­ munity. He is the author ofJerusalem’s Holy Places and the Peace Process (with Thomas A. Indinopulos, 1998). Ora Ahimeir has been the director of the Jerusalem Institute for Israel Studies for the past twenty years. She has edited many publications on cur- rent-day Jerusalem, the state of women in Israel, and Israeli cultural issues. She initiated and organized (together with Dr. Maya Choshen) the Jerusalem Institute s think tank for peace arrangements in Jerusalem. Her most recent book, together with Haim Beer, is One HundredYears of Cultural Creativity in Eretz Israel (2000).
