Israeli modular charges for artillery UMACS - 155mm Uni-Modular Artillery Charge System A complete Uni-Modular Artillery Charge System based on a single type of module with a symmetrical design • Unique and highly reliable ignition system • Enhanced operational effectiveness, guaranteeing: - Improved rate of fire - Shortened Burst Fire - Sustained rate of fire with minimum gun crew - Reduced logistics burden • Increased operational safety and reliability • Higher muzzle velocity using fewer modules: - 940 m/s with 4 modules (for 52 cal. gun) - 750 m/s with 3 modules (optimized for 39 cal. gun) • Compatible with all 155mm NATO 39, 45 & 52 cal. Guns BMACS - 155mm Bi-Modular Artillery Charge System • Two solid propellant charges, providing a complete zoning solution for 155mm tube artillery • Unique and highly reliable ignition system • Enhanced operational effectiveness, guaranteeing: - Improved rate of fire - Shortened burst fire - Sustained rate of fire with minimum gun crew - Reduced logistics burden • Increased operational safety and reliability • Higher muzzle velocity using fewer modules: - 940 m/s with 6 modules (for 52 cal. gun) - 830 m/s with 5 modules (Optimized 39 cal. gun) • Compatible with all 155mm NATO 39, 45 & 52 cal. guns BMACS is designed to replace all existing 155mm artillery bag charges, which typically differ in size, shape, weight and nature of propellant. This leads to wastage of residual charge components and ultimately to additional logistics costs. IMI's Bi- Modular 155mm charge system incorporates symmetrical and identical Top Charge Module (TCM) and Bottom Charge Modules (BCM), which are interoperable with all 155mm gun systems (39,45,52 cal.). This enables a cost-effective solution, which is also much safer for operating. BMACS complies with NATO JBMoU and being symmetrical, can be ignited from either end. Over the past 18 months, IMI has developed BMACS with the Thai Ministry of Defense (MoD) for the Royal Thai Army (RTA). Under the agreement, IMI transferred technologies, expertise, training and machinery to the military's explosive factory in Nakhon Sawan, in central Thailand. Charge M662 beige firing zones 3-6 is similar to the charge of SCI Systems Bi-MC. Charge M664 green firing zones 1-2 is similar to the charge of BCM. Furthermore, IMI Corporation has developed a system of modular charges UMACS (Uni-Modular Artillery Charge System), which uses only one type of module. Shooting of four modules with a barrel length of 52 klb. It allows you to get a muzzle velocity of 940 m / s, and with the shooting of the three modules of 39 klb. — 750 m / s. The developed modules are compatible with all instruments of NATO standard barrel length of 39, 45 and 52 klb. India has in recent years also trying to establish its own production bimodule charges Bi-Modular Charge Systems (BMCS) plant in the state of ammunition Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) in Nalanda, Bihar. http://survincity.com/2015/12/israeli-modular-charge/
