Organiza- tion for Standardization ( IS0 ) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recom- mendation of Hydraulic Fluid Power Systems Sectional Committee ( PE 15 ), and approval of the Pioduction Engineering Division Council. In this adopted standard, certain terminology and conventions are not identical with those used in Indian Standards. Attention is specially drawn to the following : a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear, referring to this standard, they should be read as <Indian Standard’. b) Comma ( , ) has been used as decimal marker while in Indian Standards the current practice is to use point ( . ) as the decimal marker. In this adopted standard, reference appears to certain International Standards for which Indian Standards also exist.
