This standard gives requirements for cutter suction dredge components, This standard has been based on the information supplied by Dredging Corporation of India, Visakhapatnam. This standard is being issued in the following parts: Part 1 Cutter Part 2 Suction pipe Part 3 Ladders Part 4 Spuds i Part 6 Cast spud cylinder The committee responsible for the preparation of this~standard is given at Annex A. In reporting the results of a test or analysis made in accordance with this standard, if the finai value, observed or calculated, is to be rounded off, it shall be done in accordance with IS 2 : 1960 ‘Rules for rounding off numerical values ( reuised )‘. Standard marked products are also continuously checked by BIS for con- formity to that standard as a further safeguard. Details of conditions under which a licence for the use of the Standard Mark may be granted to manufacturers or producers may be obtained from the Bureau of Indian Standards.
