What's new in this release of Ignitia® v2.51
Ignitiav2.51containsonenewfeatureandseveralimprovements.
NEW: ForAdministratorsandTeachers,a"Help"widgetprovidesafastandeffectivewaytogethelpfromthe
CustomerSupportTeam.
AnewHelpwidgetappearsatthebottomrightoftheapplicationandisavailablefrommostofthetop-leveltabs(pages)ofthe
application,suchastheHomepage,Gradebooktab,andAssignmentAlertstab.FromthisnewHelpwidget,Adminsand
Teacherscanrequestacallback,livechatwithasupportperson,orleaveamessage.
Note:TheHelpwidgetchangestoaChatwidgetaftertheavailablesupporthours.
ThismethodofonlineHelpdoesnotinterruptyourworkflowwhetheryouarecreatingstudentenrollments,grading
assignments,orperforminganyofyourdailyactions.
TolearnmoreabouthowtousetheonlineHelpoptions,see"Getonlinehelpfromcustomersupport"onpage 326.
TheUserGracePerioddaysvaluehasbeenincreasedto1460days(fouryears)sothatuserswhoreturntothe
schoolwithinthatfouryeartimeperiodarenolongerpermanentlyarchived.
ForschoolAdmins,theUserGracePeriodsettingcannowbesettoupto1460days(fouryears).Thisimprovementmeansthat
duringthegraceperiod,theArchivedstatuscanbereversed,withallinformationrelatedtotheuseraccountreturnedtoeither
OnHoldorActivestatus.Oncethegraceperiodends,theuseraccountmovesfromPendingArchivetoArchivedstatusandthe
statuscannotbereversed.Therecordispermanentlyarchived.Youwouldhavetocreateanewuseraccount.
