Copenhagen plays a central role in European andrology as a key point for international scientific col- laborations, both within basal testicular biology, clinical andrology and large population-based epide- miological studies. Large European semen quality studies emanate from Copenhagen, multiple work- shops on testis cancer have been arranged here, and Denmark is among the leading countries in the world when it comes to assisted reproductive therapy. Thus, we are happy that International Society of Andrology chose Copenhagen and Danish Andrological Society as host for ICA2017. On behalf of the LOC I will thank all the members of the Program Organizing Committee (POC) for the great work they did in creating the very interesting scientific program for ICA2017. Especially, I want to thank Gail Cornwall, who was chairman of the POC, for her fantastic contribution. I also want to thank the scientific societies and the commercial companies that chose to support ICA2017. During the congress there will be two industry sponsored events; workshop 3 and symposi- um 9. For these the companies chose the topics and speakers. All other scientific events were decid- ed by the POC. The bronze sponsor of the congress, CellOxess, chose to dedicate their support to Symposium 10. It is the hope that ICA 2017 in Copenhagen will provide you with new knowledge, facilitate exchange of ideas, and at the same time provide the optimal conditions for net-working and catching up with old and new friends in a friendly atmosphere.
