Andersens Hus I den gamle bydel i Odense ligger eventyrdigterens fødested. I museet kan du følge hans liv, fra de svære år som fattig skomagersøn til århundredets mest anerkendte forfatter. Der berettes om barndomsårene i Odense, om hans svære tid på vej mod drømmenes mål i København, skolegang og forfat- terkarriere, alderdom og død. Der fortælles om digterens bekendtskaber, kærlighedsliv, kunstneriske karriere og ikke mindst om hans mange rejser. I H.C. Andersens Hus føres du tilbage til Andersens tid. Meget skete i perioden 1805 til 1875, og du får viden om, hvad det var for en verden han levede i. Du bliver introduceret til mennesket H.C. Andersen, hans karakteristiske fremtoning og hans sind. Digterens kreative udfoldelser vises gennem hans tegninger og klip. I biblioteket møder du H.C. Andersens omfangsrige forfatterskab samt den globale udbredelse hans værker har. GB•Hans Christian Andersen Museum The birthplace of fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen is located in the old precint of Odense. Today it is a museum of the writer’s work with exhibits about the world-renowned author’s fantastic life. Follow the life of the writer from the difficult years as a son of a poor shoemaker to becoming the most recognised author of the century. The exhibit recounts Andersens childhood years in Odense, the hardships endured on the way to fulfilling his dreams in Copenhagen, his schooling, his writer’s career, his old age and death. The exhibit tells of the writer’s acquaintances, love life, artistic career and especially his many travels. The exhibits will take you back to the time when the writer’s works were created. Many events occurred from 1805 to 1875, and you will learn something about the kind of world in which Hans Christian Andersen lived. You will be introduced to Andersen the man, his characteristic appearance and his disposition. The writer’s creative exertions are depicted in his visual art like drawings and cut-outs, and the library exhibit will give you an impression of the widespread nature of his works and their world-wide popularity. BØRNEKULTURHUSET FYRTØJET The Tinderbox - a cultural centre for children DK•FYRTØJET Fyrtøjet er et kulturhus for børn, hvor den eventyrlige verden opleves gennem leg, fortælling, udklædning, billedkunst og teater. Fyrtøjet ligger lige ved siden af H.C. Andersens Hus. Det store eventyrland er bygget op omkring Den Lille Havfrue – og her må I lege med det hele. Gå om bord i prinsens sunkne skib, rør i havheksens gryde og gå til selskab på havslottet. Der forskellige rum til leg og i atelieret kan i være kreative. I Klædeskabet er der kostumer og mulighed for ansigtsmaling. Husk at der er levende fortælling i fortællerrummet kl. 12 & kl. 14. I 2013 åbner en ny oplevelse for de lidt større børn i Fyrtøjet. Her kan I gå på opdagelse i et eventyret ”Den store Søslange”, som handler om kommunikation og om dengang telegrafen blev opfundet og pludselig bandt hele verden sammen gennem kommunikation. Kom og oplev Søslangen, leg med telegrafisk udstyr og send morsekoder. BØRNEKULTURHUSET FYRTØJET The Tinderbox - a cultural centre for children GB•The Tinderbox The Tinderbox is a cultural centre for children where Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytales come to life through play, storytelling, theatre and art. The Tinderbox is located right next to the H.C. Andersen Museum. The theme is the fairytale about The Little Mermaid. Experience a fairytale universe with a sunken ship, the Sea King’s castle, the cavern of the Sea Witch and much more. The entire centre provices inspiration for play and is full of opportunities for children and adults alike. Storytelling at 12 noon and 2 pm. In 2013, an exciting new experience is set to open at the Tinderbox for slightly older children, who can explore the fairytale “The Giant Sea Serpent”, which is about communication and the time the telegraph was invented, suddenly linking the whole world through communication. Come and experience the Sea Serpent, play with telegraphic equipment and send messages in Morse code. Hans Christian Andersen Childhood Home H.C. Andersens Barndomshjem H.C. Andersens Barndomshjem er et lille gult bindingsværkshus, hvor H.C. Andersen boede fra han var 2 år til han blev 14 år gammel. Det stemningsfulde barndomshjem er indrettet med en udstilling helt efter den beskrivelse, som H.C. Andersen gav i sine biografier. ”Een eneste lille Stue, der næsten var opfyldt med Skomagerværkstedet, Sengen og den Slagbænk, hvori jeg sov, var Barndoms Hjemmet, men Væggene vare behængte med Billeder, paa Dragkisten stod smukke Kopper, Glas og Nipserier og henne over Værkstedet, ved Vinduet, var en Hylde med Bøger og Viser”. H.C. Andersen GB•Hans Christian Andersen Childhood Home H.C. Andersen’s childhood home is a little yellow half-timbered house where he lived from the age of two until he was fourteen. The highly distinctive childhood home now houses an exhibition that conforms completely to the description Andersen gave of it in his biographies. ”The home where I spent my childhood was one single little room where almost all the space was taken up by the workshop, the bed and the settle on which I slept. The walls, however, were covered with pictures; on the chest of drawers there were some pretty cups, glasses and ornaments, and over my father’s bench there was a shelf containing books and songs”. Andersens tid Den Fynske Landsby er et frilandsmuseum, der viser et fynsk landsbymiljø, som det så ud på H.C. Andersens tid. Et besøg er som en rejse i 1800-tallet. Her er genskabt et landsby med bindingsværksbygninger, blomsterhaver, hegn, gadekær og bygade - alt sammen omgivet af dyrkede marker. I landskabet mellem bygningerne kan du følge dyrkningen af marken, iagttage gamle danske husdyrracer, se haver med kulturplanter og eksempler på fynske nytte- og prydhaver. På mange af årets dage og gennem hele sommeren, kan du møde folkene fra Levende Historie. De levendegør historien om de almindelige menneskers liv i 1800-tallet. GB• A village from the time of Hans Christian Andersen The Funen Village is an open-air museum that presents a Funen village milieu as it appeared in the time of Hans Christian Andersen. A visit to the museum is like travelling back to the 19th century. A village has been recreated here comprising half-timbered houses, flower gardens, fences, a village pond and a village street – all surrounded by cultivated fields. You can follow the farming of the common field in the views between the buildings, observe old Danish livestock breeds, and inspect examples of Funen kitchen and ornamental gardens as well as gardens of cultivated plants and old, local varieties of fruit trees. On many days of the year, but particularly during summer holidays, you will be greeted by the members of Living History. They tell the story of how ordinary country people lived in Funen in the 19th century, and they liven up the village atmosphere as they go about their daily chores in peasant costumes.
