The conclusion points to likely develop- ments in the future. Gordon Bennett, associate professor of government at the University of Texas at Austin, is a specialist in Chinese politics. He has interviewed Chinese emigres in Hong Kong during 1967-1969 and in 1975, and traveled in the People's Republic of China in 1976.
