This name comes from the poisonous sea anemones in which they live. Even though they are covered with a layer of mucus, the clownfish slowly get used to the anemone’s sting. They do this by lightly touching parts of their bodies to the anemones before moving in. This beautiful large fish is also known for the long, pointy spear coming off its nose. The marlin uses its spear to kill prey as it slices through schools of fish.
