Hot Ground Water Distillation Using a Plastic Cover If after the pole shift you end up close to hot ground, or a bit hotter than the air above it, then you can distill water. Fast or slow depends on the temperature gradient. Simply dig a hole and put water in it. Put something that will hold water in the center of the hole. Cover the top with a plastic sheeting, plastic tarp, rain coat, tin, or similar non‐porous water‐air proof material. Make a dent in the middle just over the container that is empty in the middle of the hole. The heat from the ground will evaporate the water that was put in the hole. If it soaks into the ground then a bit of plastic lining the hole will keep it from going away. Water vapor will condense on the cooler covering of the hole and run to the center where it will drip into the collection container. The result is distilled water with no energy used. A large number of these holes would supply a groups water needs indefinitely if one can find such a situation. With all the volcanic activity of the PS it may not be hard to find. In you bug out bag or backpack take a temperature measuring thermometer so you can compare the air temp to ground temp of some water put into a test hole. This way you will be able to find the best areas to do this.
