Honor Roll of Giving A List That Tells A Life-Changing Story What a wonderful story you are about to read. To be sure, at first glance it looks like a list of names, and it will read that way as well. But embedded in each line of this Honor Roll is a story of lives being changed through the generosity of others. Berea College is able to carry out its mission because of the support of the people, corporations, and foundations listed in this Honor Roll. They have made an investment in young men and women who now have the opportunity to use their Berea educations to change the world. When you review a name in this report, look beyond the print on the page and you can think of a student who would not have been able to attend college without a full-tuition scholarship from Berea. Read further and you can imagine a student who was able to earn an education degree so he could return to his Appalachian hometown to teach in the community he has known from birth. Or picture a nurse who helps bring health care to a Third World country. This list of lives touched and how they are changed could run for pages and pages. The stories are varied, but each speaks to Berea students receiving a chance…a chance to give back to the world. Thank you to those who have helped write these stories that will impact our world for generations to come. Sincerely, Michelle L. Janssen, CFRE Vice President for Alumni and College Relations Greeting l 2010-2011 Page 2 Honor Roll of Giving Thank You!!
