Ἡ ἡμέρα αὐτή συμπίπτει ἐπίσης καί μέ τόν ἐτήσιο ἑορτασμό τῆς Κυριακῆς τῆς ΑΧΕΠΑ, σέ ἀναγνώριση τῶν μελῶν τῆς Ἑλληνοαμερικανικῆς Ἐκπαιδευτικῆς Προοδευτικῆς Ἑνώσεως καί τοῦ σημαντικοῦ ἔργου των σέ ὅλο τόν κόσμο. Μέ προσφορά προγραμμάτων στεγάσεως ὑπερηλίκων, ὑποτροφιῶν γιά νέους καί πολλῶν ἄλλων φιλανθρωπικῶν καί ἐκπαιδευτικῶν εὐκαιριῶν, ἡ οἰκογένεια τῆς ΑΧΕΠΑ συνεχίζει νά καλύπτῃ ἀνάγκες μέ γενναιοδωρία καί εὐσπλαγχνία. Ἐμπνεόμενα ἀπό τήν ρήση τοῦ Χριστοῦ πρός τούς μαθητάς Του, οὕτως λαμψάτω τό φῶς ὑμῶν ἔμπροσθεν τῶν ἀνθρώπων, ὅπως ἴδωσιν ὑμῶν τά καλά ἔργα καί δοξάσωσιν τόν Πατέρα ὑμῶν τόν ἐν τοῖς οὐρανοῖς (Ματθ. 5:16), τά μέλη τῆς ΑΧΕΠΑ προσφέρουν φῶ ς, ἐλπίδα καί εὐκαιρίες σέ πολλούς. Αὐτό τό ἔργο εἶναι ἰδιαιτέρως αἰσθητό στή σημαντική προσφορά ἐκ μέρους τῆς ΑΧΕΠΑ ἰατρικοῦ ἐξοπλισμοῦ καί εἰδῶν διατροφῆς γιά τούς κατοίκους τῆς Ἑλλάδος. Στή διάρκεια τῆς τωρινῆς κρίσεως, ἡ οἰκογένεια τῆς ΑΧΕΠΑ ἔχει συμμετάσχει στήν προσπάθεια ἀνακουφίσεως διά δωρεῶν σέ φιλανθρωπίες μέ σκοπό τήν σίτιση, τήν παροχή ἰατρικοῦ ἐξοπλισμοῦ καί τήν διευκόλυνση ἀποστολῶν ἰατρικοῦ ὑλικοῦ. Αὐτό ἀποκαλύπτει τόν φιλανθρωπικό χαρακτήρα τῶν μελῶν τῆς ΑΧΕΠΑ καί τήν διαρκῆ ἐπιθυμία των νά καλύπτουν ἐπείγουσες ἀνάγκες.
