VISION The objectives of HKIRA are to PROMOTE EXCELLENCE in the investor relations profession in Hong Kong through: 1. Providing a platform for investor relations practitioners to exchange views and to share knowledge and experiences; 2. Offering education and training programs to support high professional and ethical standards in the practice of investor relations; 3. Organizing professional and social events to advance the awareness and standing of the investor relations community; 4. Representing views of its members to the investor community, as well as regulatory and government bodies. CONTACT US (852) 2117 1846 www.hkira.com [email protected] ABOUT THE AWARDS Hong Kong Investor Relations Association (“HKIRA”) is committed to promoting excellence in investor relations (“IR”) practices and advocating the setting of international standards in IR for the companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. To achieve this goal, HKIRA launched the 1st Investor Relations Awards (the “Awards”) in 2015. The HKIRA 2nd IR Awards continues to focus on recognizing and honoring excellence and best practices in investor relations among Hong Kong listed companies and the local IR professionals their excellence and achievements in investor relations. 1 How the Awards are Selected 1 . Nomination The Awards are open to public for nominations whose achievements deserve to be honored and have demonstrated the best IR practices for others to learn from. 2. Online Voting After confirmation of the nominee’s participation, the nominated individuals and companies enter into the online survey. Domestic and international buy-side and sell-side analysts, and fund managers participate in the online survey and vote on their choices of the Awards. Voters are expected to cast their top 3 choices for each award category. Nominees with the highest votes (weighted) become the award winners. 3. Selection by the Judging Panel Top award winners in each of the award category enter into the final selection process for the Overall Best IR Awards. In this role, Mr. Li has orchestrated some of the most significant strategic initiatives in HKEX’s history, including the expansion into fixed income, currency and commodities through the acquisition of the London Metal Exchange in 2012 and the launch of OTC Clear in 2013, as well as enhanced mutual market access with Mainland China through Shanghai -Hong Kong Stock Connect and other cooperation. Mr. Li’s career in financial services spans over 20 years. Before joining HKEX, he was Chairman of JPMorgan Chase China, prior to which he was President of Merrill Lynch China. Before joining Merrill Lynch in 1994, Mr. Li practiced law in New York with Davis Polk & Wardwell and Brown & Wood. Before moving to the US for his studies, Mr. Li had worked as an offshore oil worker in the North China Sea, and as a newspaper editor-reporter for China Daily from 1984–86. Mr. Li obtained a BA degree in English literature from Xiamen University of China in 1984, a MA degree in journalism from the University of Alabama in 1988, and a JD degree from Columbia University School of Law in 1991. 8
