To the memory of our two pioneer ancestors, William and Sarah Pickens
Henry, this booklet is dedicated by their descendants who have had a part in its
preparation. May the history of this godly couple inspire us who remain to

emulate their virtues and honor their memory.
And to the memory of one of their descendants, Arthur Malcolm Henry,
it is also dedicated. Without his untiring efforts over a period of some 30 years,
in gathering much of the information herein contained, its preparation would
have been impossible. May some of those in the younger generations be in¬
spired to follow his example and preserve the precious facts of family history
as they occur.
