The12thInternationalConferenceonHigh-PerformanceComputingSystemsandTech-
nologiesinScientificResearch,AutomationofControlandProduction(HPCST2022)
tookplaceattheAltaiStateUniversityduringMay21–22,2022.AltaiStateUniversity
(AltSU)isinthecenterofBarnaulcity–thecapitaloftheAltairegioninthesouthwestern
partofSiberia.
HPCST is a regular scientific meeting that has been held annually since 2011. It
attracts specialists in the various fields of modern computer and information science,
aswellastheirapplicationsintheautomationofcontrolandproduction,mathematical
modeling,andcomputersimulationofprocessesandphenomenainnaturalsciencesby
meansofparallelcomputing.Lastyear,asubsectiononinformationsecuritywasalso
established.
Thegoaloftheconferenceistopresentstate-of-artapproachesandmethodsforsolv-
ingcontemporaryscientificproblemsandtoexchangethelatestresearchresultsobtained
byscientistsfrombothuniversitiesandresearchinstitutions.Allthereportedresultsare
valuablecontributionstothefieldofappliedinformationandcomputerscience.Sessions
oftheconferencearedevotedtotherelevantscientifictopics:
(cid:129) architectureanddesignfeaturesofhigh-performancecomputingsystems;
(cid:129) digitalsignalprocessors(DSPs)andtheirapplications;
(cid:129) IP-coresforfield-programmablegatearrays(FPGAs);
(cid:129) technologiesfordistributedcomputingusingmultiprocessors;
(cid:129) GRID-technologiesandcloudcomputingandservices;
(cid:129) high-performanceandmultiscalepredictivecomputersimulation;
(cid:129) computingininformationsecurityservices;and
(cid:129) controlautomationandmechatronics.
The conference was introduced at the international level back in 2017 since there
weremorethan120researchersfromRussia,China,Ukraine,Kazakhstan,Kyrgyzstan,
Uzbekistan,Tajikistan,Vietnam,andBrazilparticipatingintheconference.Theaverage
numberofparticipantsinasingleyearwasabout60foralongtime.Thelasteventwas
attendedvirtuallyorpersonallybymorethan140scholars.
Thisyeartheconferencewasattendedvirtuallyorinpersonby92scholarswith73
acceptedreports.ThereportswerechosenbytheProgramCommitteefrom82qualified
submissions(ninesubmissionswerenotconsideredtobefullpapersandwerenotsentfor
review).Thisyear,duetocomplexpoliticalsituationinRussia,theinternationalization
trendwasinterrupted.However,fiveinternationalreportswerepresentedbyauthorsfrom
Kazakhstan,Kyrgyzstan,andUzbekistan.Therewereadozeninternationalparticipants
intotalthisyear.Geographicaldistributionofdomesticparticipantsremainsthesame:
SiberianregionsandMoscowpredominatesamongtheparticipants.
Themostsignificantreportedstudieswerethoroughlyreviewedandincludedinthis
volume.Onlyhalfofthereportedpaperswereinvitedtotheseinternationallypublished

post-proceedings. Allinvitedpapers thenwererevised,extended tofull-paperformat,
andsubmittedforasecondroundofreview.
Afterthereview,23fullpapersfeaturingoriginalstudiesinthefieldofcomputing,
mathematical simulation, and control science and information security were accepted
forpublication.Amongthem,twopaperswereacceptedasis,12paperswereaccepted
afterminorrevision,andninepaperswereacceptedaftermajorrevision.Noguestpapers
wereacceptedthisyear.Outof11rejectedpapers,fourweredeclinedaftertherevision.
Theacceptancerateforthisvolumeis28%.Thevastmajorityoftheconferencereports
(43 research papers) that were not included in this volume were published as regular
proceedings.
Only23fullpapersfeaturingoriginalstudiesinthefieldofcomputing,mathematical
simulation,andcontrolsciencearefeaturedinthisvolume.Thepaperscoversuchtopics
as:
(cid:129) hardwareforhigh-performancecomputingandsignalprocessing;
(cid:129) informationtechnologiesandcomputersimulationofphysicalphenomena;
(cid:129) computingtechnologiesindataanalysisanddecision-making;
(cid:129) informationandcomputingtechnologiesinautomationandcontrolscience;and
(cid:129) computingtechnologiesininformationsecurityapplications.
To select the best papers among those presented at the conference, the following
procedurewasapplied.
1. Sessionchairspreparedashortlistofthemostsignificantoriginalreports,whichhad
aclearpotentialtobeextendedtofull-paperformat.
2. Theeditorialboardcomprisedofthesessionchairsandcorrespondingeditormade
alistof35reports.
3. Authorsoftheselectedmanuscriptsthenwerecontactedandaskedtoextendtheir
papersandresubmitthemreview.
Everypaper,withnoexceptions,wasreviewedbyatleastthreeexperts.Inaddition
to a routine plagiarism check with iThenticate.com, we applied another check with
Antiplagiat.ru.Thegoalwastodetectanddeclinethepapersthatwerealreadypublished
inRussian.Asingle-blindreviewmethodwasappliedusingthefollowingcriteria:
1. technicalcontent;
2. originality;
3. clarity;
4. significance;
5. presentationstyle;and
6. ethics.
The organizing committee would like to express their sincere appreciation for the
