“One day, you’ll find your curiosity has betrayed you, child.”
All my life, I’ve cast off my father’s warning. Curiosity brought me into this world of humans.
And he was right—curiosity betrayed me.
Now, I’m trapped in a world of ruin and nightmares. Zombies are holding my brother, my only way back to Brinspyre, and they’re not through yet. My fae blood is ancient and carries the antidote this world desperately needs to reverse the virus that plagues these creatures.
They don’t want a cure. They want me dead.

This world has gone to shit for good, but I refuse to surrender. Hellsbreath, the mountain stronghold I built with loyal friends, is a haven from the destruction aboveground. Survivors have found security under the dragons’ protection.
But we’re not immune.
My team of dragons, witches, and humans works cease- lessly to come up with something, anything, to slow the progression of the virus that only a few know is inexorably turning me into a monster. It’s all too easy to give in to despair.
That is, until I cross paths with a stunning fae woman fleeing into the night, a troop of zombies screaming for her flesh.
Let’s just hope I’m not too far gone to embrace her healing touch. The darkness inside me craves her demise, but the dragon craves so much more.
