To arrange for periodical assessment of the requirements for trained persons in , the Industries in the State. 2. To make recommendations to the Central Apprenticeship Council (Through the State Government) regarding the additional trades which should be specified , as designated trades and the areas and Industries which should be covered by the Act. 3. To review from time to time the implementation of the programmes of Apprenticeship Training in their areas and make recommendations to the Central 'Apprenticeship Council (through State Government) for possible improvement and/or modifications considered necessary in the standards of Training already laid down. 4. To conduct periodical inspection of the establishments where the Apprenticeship Training Programmers are in operation with a view to finding out if the requirernenis for Apprenticeship Training laid down in the Act and Rules made thereunder are being observed. 5. To arrange for the collection, dissemination and display of any useful information ' pertaining to the training of apprentices. 6. To assist the Central Apprenticeship Council in the discharge of its reponsibilities. 7. To settle disputes between an employer and an apprentice arising out of the Contract of Apprenticeship under Section 20(2) (3) of the Apprentices Act, 1961. Headquarters: The Headquarters of the Council will be at Chandigarh. The life of the Council will be for a period of three years from the date of issue of the notification.
