The book contains articles on numismatic history, on the die characteristics of many rare dates, on studies of rarity for particular dates in the series and on the identification of many die varieties. Of particular interest would be the results of club surveys of tne different denominations listing the number and grade of each date in the series owned by club members. The new Third Collective Volume is being made available to club members at the prepublication price of $30 per copy until June 1, 1991. The price of the new books will be increased $5 once they are available for general distribution. I will now write him. Valter has lost about one-third of his former weight. As to the December 26, 1991 letter to George (which I Just read after returning form Jamaica) I feel It la best to do nothing at this time as the ANA Hall of Fame Is an ANA matter. Some of the ANA board and some ANA members would be upset and others feel It would be great If Valter were elected. I would suggest not pushing for a vote until the charges are resolved by a recognition of his deviation as an Illness. I respect Valter's accomplishments lust as you do and feel that we would do him a service If we used proper timing and could obtain almost unanlmltv for his selection. Your Idea Is courageous and exeeplarv. My best. Eric P. Newman % <• ^ ?^ W, r- <5, X 'i* <\ > * * $ I * £ * o* * k ? 'i * >- *N St it < v» ^ \ <N' * < '$ * > ^ $ \ A • K \ / t- , .
