ABSTRACT (Maximumn 200 words) This report presents the results of the analysis of data on the hand gathered during the 1987-1988 anthropcinetric survey of Army personnel. Data are presented in '.he form of summary statistics and percentile tables. Ina ddition, correlations, regressions, analyses of variance and principal components for sex and racial groups, nonmetric trait frequencies, and observer err-or magnitudes are reported. These data sujmmaries are preiented for a subset of the actual data base (1003 men and 1304 womnen) that match the working data bases summnarized int he Anthroponietric Survey's Final Report. Therefore, the hand working data bases match the demographic characteristics of the June 1988 Army, and are comprised of individuals Wico are in the Anthropoinetric Survey's working data bases. The dimensions given int his report incltude 64 hand mleasuremlents that were obtained using a special photwmetric system. An additional 22 dimensions, obtained through direct measurement during the Anthroponietric Survey, were added to the hand data base. Therefore, a total of 86 dimensions are presented in this report. Measurement descriptions, visual indices, and a glossary are included to aid readers in locating dimensions and in interpreting presentat ions,. 14. SUBJECT TERMS UAIMI HRI¶JS 15.
