However until now little mention has been made about the intricate world that the White Star Liners complement inhabited & lived within, which itself comprised more than the total of ALL third-class passengers carried on board at the time of her loss. Noted & highly respected Swiss RMS Titanic Researcher Gunter Babler (Günter) examines in minute detail the working structure of the entire crew, including the complex arrangement of the engineering department and information on tips, salaries and hidden bonuses. Most importantly he details each of the 899 Officers & Crew on board the RMS Titanic, not just the survivors but members who showed extreme bravery in very trying circumstances & who in many case stayed at their posts to the very end and whose actions in many cases remain all but unknown to this day.
This invaluable study breathes new life into the long forgotten & mostly overlooked but undeniably significant yet largely hidden story of these men and their own relationship between the Ship herself and the hand picked crew chosen to sail her to her American destination.
Tragically over 75% of these Sailors failed to survive the loss of the RMS Titanic.
Contains 130 rare b/w illustrations, some of which have never been seen before.
