It isfound in manyforms, but perhapsthe most potenttype isself-fulfillment: the knowledgethatyou haveworked as hard asyou could, and thatyou have madeyourlifeandthe lives ofothersbetterbyyour accomplishments. When askedto name ateacherthat encom- passesthisquality, aswell asqualitiesofintegrity, hardwork, perseverance and character, oneteachercomes immediatelyto mind. Thisteacherdedicated his lifetomakingWestwood High School a betterplace. Hefilledthe hallswith his smilingface, fromthe crackofdawn, well intothe night, for43 longyears. He started outasa math and English teacherduhng the school'sfirstyearin this building. 1957. He sawthe building throughtwoadditions. During hisyears of service, heworked as ateacher, math department head, acoach ofbasketball, advisorofthe math team, managerofathletics. Driver's Ed teacher, Northeastern UniversityAdvisor, and Assistant Principle. After43 long yearsofworkand dedication, he retiredthisyear. Yetdespite his manyaccomplishments, hisabsence from Westwood High School is mostlyfelt bythethousandsofstudents andteachers he hastaughtand affected. Hetouchedthe livesof manypeople, as ateacher, asacoach, andasafriend. He is perhapsoneofthe mostwell known members oftheWHSfaculty. Mrs.Judy Dickmadecertainwegotourmessages and handled the frenzy of activities with ease. Mrs. Dormha Gonzer, new this year, adjusted quite well to Mrs. Cassandra the hectic pace of the day. And finally, we will never Macdonald forget Ms. Mary Buchanan, our former front office Principal's secretary, who left us this year. We will Miss her and Secretary will always remember her fondly.
