WHEAT 5 TO 12 CENTS LOWER. CORN MIXED. SORGHUM 2 TO 5 CENTS LOWER. SOYBEANS 3 TO 8 CENTS LOWER. EXPORTS WERE A PRIMARY MARKET MAKER THIS TIME OF YEAR. WHEAT TONNAGE ENDED UP FAIRLY RESPECTABLE BUT NO LOOKING TOO GOOD FOR THE YEAR TO DATE. BIG TICKET COUNTRIES, CHINA DID NOT GET BACK ON THE BOOKS THIS WEEK AND THIS WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTING TO TRADERS. CONCERNS OVER WINTER WHEAT KILL AS SUBZERO TEMPERATURES RULED A LARGE PART OF THE WHEAT COUNTRY WERE NOT REPORTED TO BE AS EXTENSIVE AS FEARED. A LATE WEEK SNOW STORM MOVED UP THROUGH TEXAS, OKLAHOMA, MISSOURI, KANSAS AND EAST THROUGH THE OHIO VALLEY. THIS SNOW GIVING A GOOD COVER AND PROTECTION FROM WINTER KILL; VERY BENEFICIAL TO BOTH HARD RED WINTER AND SOFT WINTER WHEAT. GOOD CORN EXPORT ORDERS FOR THE PAST MONTH OR SO. PRICES TURNED HIGHER BUT INCREASED YEAR END FARMER SELLING INCREASED SUPPLY SIDE. YEAR END INCREASED MOVEMENT FOR TAX PURPOSE AND BECAUSE OF INCREASED PRICES. UNKNOWN DESTINATION 4.7 MILLION BUSHEL ORDER LATE IN THE WEEK PUT A LITTLE STRENGTH IN CORN PRICES. YEAR TO DATE EXPORT FIGURES ABOVE A YEAR AGO BUT THE FIGURE NOT AS MUCH ON THE PLUS SIDE AS IT SHOULD BE, CONSIDERING CORN WAS AROUND $3.00 PER BUSHELS THIS TIME LAST YEAR AND $2.30 THIS YEAR. MINOR SOYBEAN ORDER ON THE BOOKS THIS WEEK BUT NOT LARGE ENOUGH TO HAVE ANY* INFLUENCE ON THE MARKET. SOUTH AMERICAN CROP LOOKING GOOD. ONLY ONE MONTH ON THE BEAN BOARD ABOVE $6.00 FOR THE NEXT TWO.
