Description:

Time travel meets apocalyptic weather event in this eagerly awaited sequel to The Time Bubble!

In 2029, Earth is facing a major climate catastrophe. An asteroid strike blankets the globe in dust and ash, blocking out the sunlight. Soon temperatures begin to fall. As weather conditions worsen, the residents of a small market town in Southern England must make a decision - flee south or wait for the worst to pass. With power supplies failing and food scarce, survival is at stake as those with darker motives seek to take advantage of the situation. For those heading south, can the discovery of a new Time Bubble provide a way out?

Global Cooling is the second part in a series of time travel based stories which began with The Time Bubble. Set a decade after the main events of the first book, this story picks up the lives of the main characters as they reach their late twenties. The trilogy concludes with the final volume, Man Out Of Time.

A number of spin-off novels featuring characters from the series are also available. These include Midlife Crisis, Rock Bottom and My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday. For the latest news on the author's books, please visit his Facebook page at facebook.com/TheTimeBubble/

What readers are saying about Global Cooling...

As a keen 'time travel' story fan, I found the whole concept in this series to be right on the money - Antony G. Cherry on Amazon UK

Following on from The Time Bubble, this book tells the detailed story of what is merely a passing incident in the previous book. This shows Ayres' skill as a writer. To take a single scene, and expand that into an entire novel in such an entertaining way is no mean feat. Highly recommended - T Donbavand on Amazon UK

This is another fantastic read from the author Jason Ayres - once I started reading I didn't want to stop!!! - Mr. R. Williams on Amazon UK

Great second instalment in The Time Bubble saga. Very enjoyable and entertaining - Hilary Mortz on Goodreads.

Yet another entertaining book by Jason Ayes. Very fast paced that deals both with time travelling and natural disaster. Almost all the major characters from the first book are here but 10 years older - C. Kerchner on Amazon

From the Author

I have often wondered how modern humans who no longer need to learn basic survival skills would handle a sudden apocalyptic climate event. Bearing in mind that Britain tends to fall apart most winters when there is a couple of inches of snow for a few days, how would we cope with several feet of it for several months? Seeing a way to tie this new story in nicely with my Time Bubble novel, I introduced a teaser late in that book that something had gone badly wrong with the weather. This book tells that story, ten years on from the events of the first book as we meet up with the main characters who are now in their late twenties.
