on selling day. In the past we have ran replacement heifers up as much as $15 per hundred weight!
You add that up on a load of 525 lbs replacement heifers and that is an extra $7500 in your pocket.

marketing option you wish to pursue:

Dan and Tara are from Merriman, NE, which is in the NW corner of the Nebraska Sandhills. They have been
buying bulls from us for several years. They run a real good herd of Red Angus cows and through us have
developed a relationship with a couple different buyers who take their steers and heifers every fall right
off the cow. They get a premium for their calves as the steer buyer knows the quality and health are at the
top. The heifer buyer also pays him a premium and breeds the heifers every year and in turn, sells them as
bred heifers the following year. Dan knows cattle, and he will give you an honest opinion on the bulls. He is
honest and does business the old fashion way, by his word.

John Henry is a 4th generation Eastern MT rancher living in Terry, MT. He owns and operates Beardsley
Cattle Co., a feedlot and cow/calf operation. He graduated from Montana State University with a degree in
Ag Business. John has been a representative for Superior Livestock for 4 years, marketing bred stock and
feeder cattle. He prepares and executes registered sales for Superior Productions as well.

Patrick lives about 10 miles away from us and has grown up in the ranching industry. He and his family
own a large ranch where they run commercial Angus cows. Along with ranching, his family also owns and
operates a custom feedlot, and a farming operation where they raise their feed for their cows and feedlot.
Patrick’s responsibility is the cow herd. Along with this, Patrick has started his own order buying business
where he purchases several thousand feeder calves, replacement heifers, and seed stock throughout the
year. He has done a super job buying high quality cattle and continues to gain the trust of progressive
ranchers and feeders across the country. Patrick knows the good ones and will be happy to come over and
have a look at the bulls and give you an honest opinion if you can’t make it sale day.

Kevin lives about 15 minutes northeast of Bismarck, ND where he buys and sells replacement heifers,
feeder steers, and bred females. He is also a licensed and bonded cattle buyer. The past couple years he
has done a great job in purchasing several thousand feeder calves on order. He has earned the trust and
respect from ND ranchers and what Kevin says is the way it will be, as he never goes back on his word.
His son Cody works beside Kevin in the ranching and order buying business as well. I have complete trust

We have made preparations to bid and buy livestock through Superior Productions’ “Call or Click-

Turn in Bids Over the Phone. This is our traditional method of buying livestock. To get started simply go online to www.superiorlivestock.
com and click on the tab titled “Register for a Buyer Number”. Select the registration form for Superior Productions and print the
registration form, fill it out and fax it in to Superior Productions at [phone] with a signature on it, or scan and email the form to
[email protected]. You can also mail it in to the address provided on the form. Upon receipt of this information Superior will
call you with a buyer’s number and the bid line phone number that you will use on sale day to place bids over the phone.
Click-To-Bid. This is Superior’s online bidding platform for cattle buying. Please note that high speed internet is required – this is
not for dial-up or satellite internet. Registration is free, but you must become a member of www.superiorclicktobid.com to sign up.
Becoming a member is easy - just go to the homepage of www.superiorclicktobid.com and follow the out-lined steps to get started.
Input your information and select a username and password. You will receive an e-mail confirming you are a member. From that
point forward you just have to sign in and select the sale you would like to register for and once approved you will receive an e-mail
confirming which sale you are now registered for.
Viewing the Auction. The sale will be broadcast on www.superiorclicktobid.com. Please note that there is a delay if you are watching
the auction so be sure to call in a couple lots ahead of the lot you are interested in bidding on. There are 2 places to view the sale

Wow! What a way to start off the 2018 Gill Red Angus “You Buy, We Bid” bull sale. This guy is as good as they come phe-
notypically. Very long made, thick, deep, and classy. He is powerful enough to sire you some big calves at weaning, has the
go in him to continue the explosive growth in the feedlot, and yet smooth enough where the calves will be born easily. When
we sorted for sale order and put lot tags in on Dec. 18th, we also weighed all the bulls. The bulls come off grass green, and
we put them on a .48 Mcal and bumped them up to a .50 Mcal for a few weeks. The bulls all did outstanding, but this guy in
particular did amazing. He gained over 6 lbs a day in that time period! Just imagine how your feeder steers will do for you or
for the feeder who buys them. He will definitely be back for more of your calves next year! Oh ya, his dam is a good, moderate
sized Victory daughter. His daughters should make top producing, easy keeping cows as well. Pen 200
