SinceanantennacanbemodeledasasetofHertziandipoles,themethodcouldbeusedtopredict thefar-zoneradiationofanantennaunderamultilayerstructure.Theanalyticalexpressionforthe far-zonefieldisderivedforastructurewithorwithoutapolarizer.Theprocedureofobtainingthe Hertziandipolemodelthatisrequiredbythegeneralizedtransmissionlinemethodisalsodescribed. Severalexamplesaregiventodemonstratethecapabilities,accuracy,andefficiencyofthismethod.
