CookSector 2.2.2 ResponsibilityfortheprovisionofAISwithintheCookSectorof AucklandOceanicFIRisvestedintheCookIslandsAirportAuthority,under adelegationfromtheMinistryofTransport,CookIslands. 2.2.3 InformationregardingservicesandoperationsintheCookSectoris containedintheAIPCookIslands. TongaSector 2.2.9 ResponsibilityfortheprovisionofAISwithintheTongaSectorof AucklandOceanicFIR,excludingtheterritoryofNiue,isvestedinthe AeronauticalInformationServiceoftheMinistryofCivilAviation,Tonga. 2.2.10InformationregardingservicesandoperationswithintheTonga Sector,excludingtheterritoryofNiue,iscontainedintheAIPTonga. Niue(TongaSector) 2.2.11ResponsibilityfortheprovisionofAISwithintheterritoryofNiuein theTongaSectorofAucklandOceanicFIRisvestedintheDirectorofCivil Aviation(GovernmentofNiue). 2.2.12InformationregardingservicesandoperationsinNiueiscontained intheAIPNiue. NorfolkIsland 2.2.13NorfolkIslandislocatedwithintheAucklandOceanicFIRandis administeredbyAustralia. 2.2.14InformationregardingservicesandoperationsatNorfolkIslandis containedintheAIPAustralia. ©CivilAviationAuthority Effective:20SEP12 AIPNewZealand GEN3.1-5 3 AERONAUTICALPUBLICATIONS 3.1 IntegratedAeronauticalInformationPackage 3.1.1 TheNewZealandAISoperatesinaccordancewithICAOAnnex15 requirements.Aeronauticalinformationispublishedasanintegrated packageofthefollowingcomponents: (a) TheAeronauticalInformationPublication(AIP)andamendment service; (b) AIPSupplements(SUP); (c) NOTAMandPre-flightInformationBulletins(PIB);and (d) AeronauticalInformationCirculars(AIC). 3.1.2 AllAISmaterial,exceptNOTAM,takeseffectat0000localtime (NZDTorNZST)onthepublishedeffectivedate.Adate/timegroupinboth localtimeandUTCisshownontheamendmentbulletinpageandonthe frontpageofAIPSupplementandAICbooklets. 3.1.3 Changestotextornewinformationareidentifiedbyaverticalblack line(revisionbar)inthemargin.Deletionsareidentifiedbya“D”.Changes intheChecklistofAIPPagesareidentifiedbyagreyshading.Changesto chartsareindicatedinthemargin,givingthepreviouseffectivedateand thechangesfromthatedition. 3.2 AIP 3.2.1 InformationpublishedintheAIPisobtainedfromvarious organisationsresponsibleforprovidingservicestotheairnavigation system.AstheAIPprovider,Aeropathisresponsiblefortheaccurate publicationofthisinformationandforensuringthattheinformationis publishedinaccordancewiththeapplicablestandards.Theoriginating organisationisresponsiblefortheaccuracyandcompletenessofthe originalinformation. 3.2.2 TheAIPisavailableinbothpaperandelectronicformat(Internet). 3.2.3 TheAIP,otherthanthechartslistedinGEN3.2paragraph4.2.1,is deliveredfree-of-chargeontheinternet(www.aip.net.nz),withinformation presentedinpdfformat. AIPAmendmentService 3.2.4 TherearesixscheduledamendmentstotheAIPissuedineach calendaryear.Scheduledamendmentswillbeeffectiveonthesecond, fourth,sixth,eighth,tenthandtwelfthAIRACeffectivedatesoftheyear. Additionalamendmentsmaybepublishedifoperationallyrequired. ©CivilAviationAuthority Effective:25MAY17 GEN3.1-6 AIPNewZealand 3.3 AIPSupplement(SUP) 3.3.1 SUPareissuedeveryAIRACcycle(every28days)andcontain informationthat: (a) isofatemporarynaturenoturgentenoughtowarrantpromulgation byNOTAM;or (b) containsextensivetextorgraphicsthatcannotbeclearly promulgatedbyNOTAM. 3.3.2 SUParedistributedtosubscriberstotheAIP,andareavailableatno costviatheInternet(www.aip.net.nz). 3.4 NOTAMandPre-flightInformationBulletin(PIB) 3.4.1 NOTAMareusedtopromulgatetemporarychangestooperationally significantinformationthatrequiresimmediatedissemination.NOTAMare issuedviatheAFTN,andareavailableatnocostviatheInternet (www.ifis.airways.co.nz). 3.4.2 NOTAMareavailableaspartofpre-flightbriefingsappropriatetothe routeoftheflightandfromATSunitsduringflight.Pre-flightbriefingscan beobtainedfromtheAirwaysCorporationAeronauticalDatabaseviaAFTN, fax,telephone,andareavailableatnocostviatheInternet (www.ifis.airways.co.nz). 3.4.3 NOTAMinbriefingbulletinsmayappearinadifferentformatfrom thatusedoninitialissue. 3.4.4 Inpre-flightandin-flightbriefingsNOTAMprovidedarecurrent withinthenext24hoursfromthetimeofdespatchunlessotherwise requested.Wherecustomersrequireadvancenoticeofactivationby NOTAMofspecialuseareasthataffecttheiroperation,thiscanbe requestedeitherindividuallyorbyinclusionintotheirregularbriefing delivery. NOTAMFormat 3.4.7 EachNOTAMisallocatedaseriestype(AorB),followedbyaserial number(consistingoffourdigits),followedbyanobliquestroke,followed bytheyearofissue,e.g.A0906/03. 3.4.8 IfaNOTAMcontainsalargetextitmaybenecessary,oninitial issue,tosplititintoparts.Inthatcaseasub-number(consistingofone letter)andthenumberofparts(consistingoftwodigits)isaddedtothe NOTAMseries/sequencenumber. Example: A0906/03A02(partoneoftwoparts) A0906/03B02(parttwooftwoparts) 3.4.9 TheseNOTAMwillappearasonecontinuousNOTAM,withoutthe sub-numberandnumberofparts,inbriefingbulletins. 3.4.10Anidentifier(N,RorC)afterthewordNOTAMindicateswhetherthe NOTAMisNew,aReplacementorCancellation.InthecaseofRorCthe numberoftheNOTAMbeingsupersededorcancelledisincluded: Example: A0006/03 NOTAMRA0906/02 3.4.11TheformatusedinthetextofNOTAMmessagesisprovidedinTable GEN3.1-1. (b) RequestsaretobemadetotheInternationalNOTAMoffice(see paragraph1.2.3forcontactdetails). (c) Aerodromeoperatorsshouldusetheproceduresdetailedin PublishingandNOTAMGuidelinesforAerodromeOperatorsavailable ontheAeronauticalInformationManagementwebsitelink www.myaip.co.nz/originators.(SeeSubmissionGuidelines.)Wherea NOTAMpromulgateschangesofapermanentnature,contactshould firstbemadewithAeronauticalInformationManagementtoarrange forincorporationintoAIP. (m) OnceaNOTAMisissued,theoriginatorisresponsibleformonitoring thestatusandcontentoftheNOTAMandadvisingtheNOTAMoffice ofanychangestocontentortiming. 3.4.16TheNOTAMOfficemayhavetore-formatand/oreditthetextof NOTAMrequeststocomplywithinternationalconventionsregardingNOTAM issueandformatspecifiedinTableGEN3.1-1. 3.5 AeronauticalInformationCircular(AIC) 3.5.1 AICcontaininformationofinteresttopilotsandaircraftoperators, andaredistributedtoholdersoftheAIP. 3.5.2 AICareissuedasrequired,andinaccordancewiththeAIRACcycle. 3.6 SaleofPublications 3.6.1 AIPdocumentsareavailablefromAeronauticalInformation Managementonlineatwww.aipshop.co.nz. 3.6.2 Detailsofprices,paymentoptions,andorderingprocedurescanbe foundontheAeronauticalInformationManagementwebsitelink www.aipshop.co.nz.Customersrequiringassistancetodeterminetheir orderrequirementsshouldcontactAeronauticalInformationManagement priortoplacingtheirorder.
