LOUIS DISTRICT ◼ QUARTERLY REGIONAL MOBILITY REPORT ◼ JUNE / JULY / AUGUST 2020 ZONING IN Fatal Crash Clearance times YTD improved by 13.4% in 2020 TMS Work Zones: compared to 2019 June 2020: 413 July 2020: 400 The number of tractor trailer crashes decreased 22.7% compared to August 2020: 457 the Summer of 2019 - Work Zone Impact Breakdown: Work zone crashes increased by 26.2% compared to Summer of 2020 Major: 27– 2.1% Overall AM and PM Regional Mobility for the 2020 summer quarter Moderate: 27– 2.1% increased dramatically compared to 2019 Minor: 1247– 95.8% Westbound I-70 at Earth City Expressway took over the top WORK ZONE CRASHES: 53 congested spot this quarter with Northbound I-270 at I-70 placing 2nd Planned Event Location: Eastbound / Westbound I-270 Design Build Date: Entire Quarter Event Detail: Continued work with daily closures of various lanes. All mitigation efforts were in use. Unplanned Event Location: University City, St. Louis County, Southbound and Northbound I-170 past Delmar Blvd. Event Detail: Overturned Tractor Trailer during AM Rush Hour. The tractor overturned on its side in the northbound lanes of Date: 7-10-2020 I-170 and the trailer overturned in the southbound lanes. All lanes of Northbound and Southbound I-170 were closed.
